Who Was Jenny Kush? [Solved]
Jenny Monson, aka Jenny Kush, was a real force to be reckoned with. She was a cannabis activist from Denver who helped launch the Colorado chapter of Moms for Marijuana International. Sadly, her life and work were cut short by a drunk driver - what a tragedy!
Background: Jenny Kush is a Canadian artist and illustrator based in Toronto, Ontario. She has been creating art for over 10 years and specializes in vibrant, whimsical illustrations that explore themes of identity, nature, and the human experience.
Education: Jenny holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD University in Toronto and has studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
Work: Jenny’s work has been featured in numerous publications including The Globe & Mail, The National Post, The Walrus Magazine, and more. She also creates custom artwork for clients such as Google Canada and Penguin Random House Canada.
Exhibitions: Jenny’s work has been exhibited at galleries across North America including the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA), and more recently at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto for their annual Come Up To My Room exhibition series.
Awards & Recognition: In 2018 she was awarded an Honourable Mention by Applied Arts Magazine for her illustration “The Garden” which was featured on their cover that year; she was also nominated for a 2019 Prism Prize Award for her music video “Lonely Boy” which she directed with fellow artist/director Ryan Enn Hughes; most recently she was selected as one of 20 artists to be part of Adobe Creative Residency 2020-2021 program where
