Is 98.3 A Fever For Covid? [Solved]
Even though the latest studies show otherwise, docs won’t say you have a fever unless your temp is 100.4 or higher. Still, if it’s lower than that, you could still be ill.
Symptoms: Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever (temperature of 98°F or higher), cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, and loss of taste or smell.
Transmission: The virus is primarily spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, talks, or sings. It can also be spread by touching a surface that has the virus on it and then touching your face.
Prevention: To prevent the spread of COVID-19 it is important to practice social distancing, wear a face covering in public settings where social distancing is difficult to maintain, wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content if soap and water are not available, avoid close contact with people who are sick and stay home if you are feeling ill.
Treatment: There is currently no specific treatment for COVID-19 but there are medications that can help relieve symptoms such as fever reducers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen as well as over-the-counter cold medicines to help reduce congestion and coughing.
