Wow, that’s a lot! 2009 was a long year - it had 53 weeks in total. That’s almost like having an extra month!

  1. Week 1: The first week of 2009 saw the inauguration of President Barack Obama, marking a new era in American politics.

  2. Week 2: The U.S. Senate confirmed Timothy Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury, and the House passed an economic stimulus package to help jumpstart the economy.
