Namaste, iam Tanya Edwards, Peace out!
Oh man, I’m burning up! I’ve got a fever that’s just too hot to handle. It’s like my temperature is through the roof! I’m feeling so out of sorts and it’s really getting me down. Ugh, why does this always happen to me? Hopefully some rest and relaxation will help me get back on my feet soon. In the meantime, I guess all I can do is try to keep cool and take it easy.
Do I Have A Fever Or Am I Just Hot? [Solved]
If you take your temperature and it’s over 100°F (38°C) orally, rectally, in your ear or on your forehead, then you’ve got a fever. But if you use an armpit thermometer, the reading will be a bit lower - so if it’s 99.4°F (37°C) or higher, then yep - you’re running a fever.
- Temperature: A fever is an increase in body temperature above the normal range of 98.6°F (37°C).
- Duration: Fevers can last anywhere from a few hours to several days, depending on the underlying cause.
- Symptoms: Common symptoms associated with a fever include chills, sweating, headache, muscle aches and fatigue.
- Causes: Fevers are usually caused by infections such as colds and flu, but can also be caused by other illnesses or medications.
- Treatment: Treatment for a fever typically involves rest and fluids to help reduce the body temperature and relieve symptoms such as pain or discomfort associated with the fever itself.
Fever’s just a hot one! It’s really high, so make sure you take care of yourself and get plenty of rest. You don’t want to be stuck in bed all day with a fever like that!
